The Teacher Talks: Episode 1
Episode 1: Joash
In this first episode, I interviewed Joash Zheng (they/them), a performer, voiceover artist and stunt actor with Autism Spectrum Disorder. In addition to appearing in multiple theatre and television productions, Joash has a range of voiceover credits to their resume too.
In our conversation, we talked about what growing up and schooling had been like for them, the sense of “strangeness” even amongst friends and family, as well as the need for Singapore to become more empathetic with individuals who are different.
In this second episode, I had an interesting talk with Mhairi Jerga about being a “Third Culture Kid” and raising “Third Culture Kids” of her own.
Paul is the Learning and Engagement Manager at the Singapore Repertory Theatre (SRT), a post he has held since 2017.
